LOTUS WHITEGLOW SKIN WHITENING AND BRIGHTENING EMULSION REVIEW

Oh yes. I had been missing in action for the past one week. If you ask me why, actually I was not feeling well. All thanks to the Knorr soupy noodles which made me behave like  a slow motion heroin.. Urghh..  now coming back to today’s post. No no am not obsessed with whitening products, but then I always go gaga over products that claim to brighten skin :P (typical Indian girl you see). The same fact with the purchase of this product. BRIGHTENED SKIN UNDER CONSTRUCTION :D

PRICE : Rs.245
QUANTITY: 40 ml
SUITABLE FOR : All skin types

LOTUS SAYS:

Lotus Herbals Whitening & Brightening Micro-Emulsion SPF 25 - Whiteglow is Enriched with Grape, Mulberry, Saxifraga extracts and Milk enzymes that are known fairness agents An advanced formula that blends the nourishing goodness of oil and hydrating properties of water It also contains sunscreens to protect the skin from harmful UVA & UVB rays that can darken the skin.

WHAT I SAY:

This product comes in a heavy glass packaging with a pump dispenser. Now it has got a positive and a negative point. Positive of having a pump dispenser and negative of being bulky!! But then it’s far better than the unhygenic tub packaging.

The microemulsion is white in color. The texture of the cream is very light hence it blends without any effort. It is neither thick nor thin. Just perfect. I have not used any microemulsion before hence cannot compare it with another product.

The texture of this product is very smooth and soft. It spreads easily. About the moisturizing part, I have normal-combination skin with oily T-zone and it keeps my skin moisturized for a decent amount of time. It makes my skin soft and supple. The best part is since it is very light in texture it suits all skin types from dry to oily skin.

I had been using this microemulsion for more than one month and it never broke me out. It simply moisturizes my skin well, makes it soft and it also controls the appearance of pores to some extent.
I can’t say it brightened my skin to a drastic effect but then it actually works. I can see my marks are fading a bit faster and skin is made more clearer.  As usual the whitening claim is a tun tana tun :P

It has got SPF 21 PA+++, which is useful to some extent during winters. But then you shouldn’t skip sunscreens during summer.

Overall I would say this is a good product that makes skin supple and also helps the marks fade away soon. It is very light in texture hence blends easily and suitable for all skin types.

MY RATING : 4/5

Hope my review helps.
